Participating in two years at GEP project was a very interesting experience at a professional level. To carry out this training and finally, the final project meant a great professional growth. I have expanded my knowledge in relation to new strategies and techniques of CLIL methodology in order to facilitate the learning of our students. In my opinion, one of the most powerful aspects that the CLIL methodology provides is that all strategies can be applicable to all areas of learning. Incorporating the techniques and objectives of CLIL methodology, offer our students the possibility of learning while being the center of learning, experimenting, playing and enjoying the whole process.

 

After doing several CLIL sessions with my students I can truly say that the students enjoy the sessions because they are programmed and thought especially for them. They learn through games and they do it in groups, because teamwork is one of the priorities of this program. Students exchange opinions, interact with each other and learn together.

 

Scheduling the sessions and preparing all the necessary materials was a lot of work and involved a lot of dedication. However, once you implement the session in practice, the result is very positive, because you realize that all the material are necessaries and useful to facilitate the understanding and enjoyment of our students. For example, keywords, posters, cards, or songs, among others.

 

I notice the difference between the project done during the GEP I course, and the project done in GEP II. This is the proof of the personal progress I have made. Throughout this year I have felt much safer designing and creating new activities for the project. Every time I feel more comfortable with the new strategies that I have been learning and incorporating throughout these two years. This progress, however, would not have been possible without the personalized and specific interaction with Monica and Laura, our trainers throughout this process this training course.
